Community Services
For 106 years Seamen’s has been a gathering place for the Newport community and visitors. The community is invited to enjoy Seamen’s lovely spaces: the cozy Henry J. Anderson Maritime Library, historic Chapel of the Sea and peaceful Memorial Garden.
Community Meals
Seamen’s hosts a monthly evening meal on the 3rd Wednesday of each month as well as a special Thanksgiving Day Dinner. These meals are free and open to the public. The Community Meal program is sponsored by Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island and the Rhode Island Foundation.
Amenities and Public Services
Seamen’s Institute provides restrooms for venue rentals and Crow’s Nest guests, laundry facilities for guests and mariners, mail and package pick-up services, and complimentary Wi-Fi.
