The Rhode Island Wind Ensemble, led by Dr. Robert Franzblau, offers a unique opportunity for all ages to experience the classic American wind ensemble genre in the tradition of John Philip Susa in the beautiful atrium of the Newport Marriott. The performance takes place Sunday, February 17, 7-8pm and is free and open to the public thanks to support from Discover Newport, the Newport Marriott, and the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts. A suggested donation of $10 will support the mission of Seamen’s Church Institute, serving Newport since 1919.
